An exciting career in the media and entertainment industry starts at BCIT, where you will learn the art of storytelling by preparing various news and sports reports, documentaries, and video productions. You will also edit audio and video content for BCIT’s radio station Evolution 107.9 and the weekly TV news show BCIT Magazine.

Our grads are respected journalists, newscasters, and producers who work in radio, television, film, and online throughout BC, Canada, and around the world.

Part-time Courses

BCIT part-time courses are taught in our Downtown Vancouver (DTC), Burnaby Campuses (BBY), and online. The following grids display which semester each course is taught. Please be aware that cost, course availability, and location are subject to change.

(F) Fall term is between September to December
(W) Winter term is between January to April
(S) Spring/Summer term is between April to August

English Requirements:

Two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following:

  • BC English 12 (67%) or
  • 3.0 credits of post-secondary English, humanities or social sciences (67%) from a recognized institution
