Full-Time Program Options:

Choose your option and build a career in front of the camera, on the mic, or behind the scenes. Graduates work across B.C., Canada, and worldwide, as filmmakers, journalists, hosts, digital content creators, social media producers, directors, editors, and PR experts.

Real-world training

Experience the thrill of working on set, in the control room, newsroom, play-by-play booth, edit suite, and out in the field as the action unfolds.

Hands-on content creation

Produce engaging documentaries, video projects, podcasts, social media content, films, news, sports stories, and live productions for digital and streaming channels, TV, and radio. Hone your craft on our various media platforms, using the exact tools relied on every day by industry.

Graduates of the Broadcast and Media Production Diploma may also apply for acceptance into BCIT’s Bachelor of Creative Industries (BCI) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs. Some bridging courses are required for the BBA.

Sign-up for a defined course of study through one of our Associate Certificate programs or microcredentials or select individual courses à la carte. Broadcast and Media Production Flexible Learning part-time courses are taught at our Burnaby (BBY) and Downtown Vancouver (DTC) campuses, as well as in online and hybrid formats. Cost, course availability, and location are subject to change.

  • (F) Fall term is September to December
  • (W) Winter term is January to April
  • (S) Spring/Summer term is April to August

  • English language proficiency: Category 2 – English Studies 12 (67%) or equivalent
