Giving to BCIT

Your gift will be matched, dollar for dollar until Dec. 31

This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to lean on one another, dig deep, and draw on our strengths: resilience, innovation, problem-solving. BCIT students exemplify these strengths. Now, more than ever, their passion, commitment, and leadership are needed in BC and around the world.

Today, BCIT students are facing unprecedented financial challenges. As the cost of living continues to increase and part-time jobs become scarcer, students are struggling to complete their education. Their future—as tomorrow’s leaders including critically needed healthcare providers, nurses, technologists, and technicians—is at risk.

The BCIT Student Association is leading the way to help them. They’ve granted the BCIT Foundation an amazing holiday matching gift of $65,000. That means, for every $1 we raise, a matching $1 will be donated.

This holiday season, your generosity will allow BCIT students to build better and brighter futures. We hope you will consider making a gift that sparks hope for struggling students. Donate by Dec. 31.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, healthy, and joyous holiday season,

Jackie Jacob
Executive Director
BCIT Foundation

Give through employee payroll

Establish a student scholarship, bursary, or award

The generous donors behind BCIT’s awards are the key to the success of BCIT and its students. The cost of education today makes it harder than ever for students to balance their studies and pay bills. These awards can often make the difference in a student being able to complete their studies.

Endowed awards
Endowments create a lasting legacy at BCIT by providing a permanent source of funding for scholarship, bursaries or awards. Endowments can be created to support students in specific programs or BCIT can direct the funds to program areas of greatest need. Once established, contributions can be made to the endowment from industry partners, family, or friends.

An endowment is a permanent fund supporting awards. The Endowment must generate the minimum award amount. Please contact awards@bcit.ca for more information.

Annual awards

Annual gifts support student awards, scholarships or bursaries. Annual contributions may be designated to support students in specific programs or BCIT can direct the funds to program areas of greatest need.
