Guy Elliott is a Vancouver-based finance executive currently serving as Vice President of Finance at Lithium Americas Corp, a North American lithium development company advancing the Thacker Pass project.
A Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant with an engineering background, Guy brings a technical and strategic perspective to financial leadership. His career includes senior roles at Teck Resources, Rocky Mountaineer, Deloitte, KGHM, and Ernst & Young, reflecting deep expertise across the natural resources and process improvement.
He has contributed to the BCIT Foundation since 2015 and has held board positions with Hollyburn Country Club and the UBC Engineering Alumni Advisory.

Managing Director, Edelman Smithfield (Canada)
David is a senior, strategic and trusted advisor to leading North American companies and public sector organizations. For more than 20 years he’s provided strategic communications, media relations, B2B communications, and stakeholder relations support to his agency clients, ensuring their communications programs align with and advance business objectives while effectively managing and enhancing reputation.
In addition to his substantial experience in normal course profile building, David has counselled senior management teams, boards of directors and their advisors on a range of complex mandates, including acute reputational challenges, operational crises, litigation, hostile and friendly takeovers, shareholder activism, restructurings and insolvency proceedings, and management changes.
Over the course of his career, he’s established broad-based industry knowledge that includes transportation and logistics, financial services, technology, mining, oil and gas, aerospace, telecommunications, consumer packaged goods, sports and entertainment, real estate, and health care.
Brent Charleton, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), is the CEO and President of EnWave Corporation, a publicly listed proprietary drying technology company.
He successfully licensed the company’s intellectual property to more than 50 food manufacturers located throughout 25 countries globally, includeing Pepsico, Dole, Calbee, Perdue, Arla and the US Army.He’s also contributed to raising over $40M through the capital markets to support EnWave’s innovation and growth.
Brent earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2017 and is a member of CFA Society Vancouver. He graduated from the Marketing Management (Entrepreneurship) Diploma Program at BCIT (2010) and received his undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University, majoring in Criminology (2005).
Brent is a Business in Vancouver, Top 40 Under Forty award winner (2019), inductee to the Basketball BC Hall of Fame (2020) and recipient of the BCIT Alumni Association Outstanding Student Leadership Award (2010).
An accomplished athlete, Brent finished as the all-time leading scorer in Simon Fraser Men’s Basketball history and played four years professionally in Australia and New Zealand. He was also a member of the New Zealand National Men’s Basketball Team (2006).

Malcolm Hunter is past President of Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada, the exclusive Canadian distributor of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories, and MotorClothes® apparel which was provided through a national network of authorized Harley-Davidson® Retailers.
Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada was the largest independent motorcycle distributor in Canada and the largest single Customer of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company in the world until the sale back to the Motor Company in 2015.
Malcolm is a graduate of the Simon Fraser University Economics and Commerce Department, the Queen’s University Executive MBA Program, and the Wharton School of Business Advanced Management Program. He achieved his Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Designation in 2013.
Under his guidance, Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada earned the prestigious 50 Best-Managed Companies in Canada designation for 18 consecutive years from 1995 to 2013, earning the organization Platinum Club status. Other awards include being named one of the Top 40 Employers in BC and Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
Malcom is a member of the Rotary Club of Vancouver and a past Director of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the BCIT Foundation, and Noble Iron. In the past, he’s been Chair of the Vancouver Community College Foundation Board, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, and most recently, a Director on the BC Crown Corporation of BC Assessment.

Sally Parrott is an Executive Vice President at Bosa Properties Inc (BPI), a leading provider of human-centered solutions for property development and management, head-quartered in Vancouver, Canada.
Sally leverages her expertise in brand and digital development, strategic market expansion, and executive leadership to drive profitable growth, transformation, and innovation in high-growth organizations. At BPI she oversees the Customer, Technology/Data, and Corporate Strategic Planning divisions. Prior to BPI, she was the the Senior Vice-President of Marketing at the retailer Aritzia. A member of the executive, she drove the growth of the Aritzia brand through US expansion and pre- and post-Initial Public Offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Sally began her career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is an alumna of Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Program.

Kiel is a dedicated alumnus of BCIT, having graduated from the Financial Planning program in 2008. With 16 years of experience as a Senior Portfolio Manager at TD Wealth, he’s built a practice helping families achieve their visions of success.
His commitment to the BCIT community is demonstrated by his seven years of service on the BCIT Alumni Board of Directors. This experience has given him a unique perspective on the needs of students and the goals of the institution, making him a welcome addition to the Foundation Board.
Born in Newfoundland, he moved to Vancouver at the age of nine and has since made the city his home. He lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife, four-year-old daughter, and two-year-old son. When not at work, he enjoys tackling projects on his family’s 110-year-old home, traveling to new destinations with his family, and running along the Vancouver Seawall.

Amanda grew up in Northern British Columbia before moving to Vancouver in 1999 to attend the University of British Columbia, for both an undergraduate degree and law school. After law school, Amanda joined Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, Vancouver’s largest law firm, where she was an advisor to public companies—mostly mining—on financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.
In 2018, Amanda joined Teck Resources Limited as Corporate Secretary, and was appointed Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary in 2023.
Amanda graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and LLB. She joined Teck Resource Limited in 2018. Previously, Partner (2016-2018) and Associate (2007-2016), Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.
With a career defined by purpose and people, Carolynn Ryan serves as the Senior Vice-President, People & Chief Human Resources Officer at BC Hydro.
Her portfolio includes talent acquisition, people development, inclusion and diversity, labour relations, total rewards, and ethics. Under her leadership, the HR team partners closely with groups across the organization to empower leaders and employees to thrive.
Carolynn brings over 30 years of experience in the Crown Corporation sector, and lives by the motto “lead, learn, share”—a philosophy that reflects her commitment to leading by example, learning from others, and generously sharing knowledge to foster collective growth.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of British Columbia, bringing deep expertise in labour relations and collective bargaining.
