Why BCIT Business + Media

For more than 50 years, BCIT Business + Media has been the premier provider of the applied business education that industry continues to demand. You can choose from over 120 unique programs and 300 courses to help you reach your career goals. In our applied learning environment, you will find small class sizes taught by real-world professionals.

While at BCIT, you will be placed in a cohort of up to 27 students. Together, you will learn, collaborate, and support one another throughout the program. These classmates will become your project teammates, professional network, and often lifelong friends.

Through our accelerated programs, you can pursue your career after only two years, or ladder your program and continue into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc), or Bachelor of Creative Industries (BCI) programs.

Entrance Requirements

The general entrance requirements for most BCIT Business + Media diploma programs are:

• 67% in English 12, or English First Peoples 12, or equivalent. 73% English Studies 12 or equivalent required for Strategic Human Resource Management Diploma. Learn More about the English Language Proficiency requirements.
• 67% in Pre-Calculus 11, or Foundations of Math 11, or equivalent. Certain programs accept Workplace Math 11

Skills assessments are available if you believe your skills are not reflected in your transcript. If you don’t pass an assessment, or you feel you need to refresh your skills in preparation for a full-time program, there are different part-time studies courses you can enroll in to help you meet our entrance requirements. Spend a Day Program

The Spend a Day Program is an on-going program that allows students spend a day shadowing a BCIT student. Students will experience the campus, sit in on lectures and labs, and get your questions answered by real BCIT students. Learn more about the Spend a Day Program.
