Why BCIT Business + Media

For more than 50 years, BCIT Business + Media has been the premier provider of the applied business education that industry continues to demand. You can choose from over 120 unique programs and 300 courses to help you reach your career goals. In our applied learning environment, you will find small class sizes taught by real-world professionals.

While at BCIT, you will be placed in a “set” of 22 to 26 students. These students will become your working group, future professional network, and your life-long friends.

Through our accelerated programs, you can pursue your career after only two years, or ladder your program and continue into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) programs.

Entrance Requirements

The general entrance requirements for most BCIT Business + Media diploma programs are:

  • C+(67%) in English 12 (If you have 3 credits of post-secondary English, Humanities or Social Sciences (67%) from a recognized institution, you also meet the English 12 requirement).
  • Two years of education in an English-Speaking Country.
  • C+(67%) in Math 11.

Skills assessments are available if you believe your skills are not reflected in your transcript. If you don’t pass an assessment, or you feel you need to refresh your skills in preparation for a full-time program, there are different part-time studies courses you can enroll in to help you meet our entrance requirements. Meet Tyson

After graduating from Burnaby Mountain Secondary School in Burnaby, British Columbia, Tyson came directly to BCIT to study Financial Planning. After a successful two years in the the program, Tyson pursued his BBA. Upon graduation, Tyson started his career as an Associate, Wealth Management at RBC Dominion.
