The BCIT Summer Field School is a unique opportunity to engage in an international learning experience over the summer. Traveling with a cohort of peers, the Field School program combines academic lectures held by BCIT instructors with insightful company visits and enriching cultural activities at exciting international destinations. This immersive program gives you the opportunity to receive credits for academic courses, learn about international business practices, gain valuable international perspectives, develop cultural awareness, and build lifelong connections, all while broadening your global network and academic experience.

Vietnam Summer Field School 2027

From local impact to global trade. Experience Vietnam, one of Asia’s most dynamic and rapidly growing economies, and learn how Canadian businesses expand internationally. Visit leading companies, exclusive cultural tours and immerse yourself in Vietnam’s rich culture and community while earning credits through this unique global learning experience.

Dates: July 4 – July 17, 2027
Cities: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Mekong Delta, Danang, Hoi An and Hue.
Company visits*: Canadian Wood, CAE Inc, VNG Vinagame, Highlands Coffee, Vietcoco Luong Quoi, Thaco Chulai, VSIP and Dan-D Pak.
Cultural visits: Arts and crafts workshops, coffee-making and tasting tours and historical and cultural tours.
