Clinicals/Preceptorships – supervised work experience that is mandatory for a license in a health profession
Practicums – short term, typically unpaid work experiences
Internships – longer term work experiences, greater than 4 weeks, paid or unpaid
Project (Consulting, Capstone, or Industry) – work individually or a small group to complete a project/report/deliverable for an industry partner
Work term – long term paid work experience

If your team or company needs individual contributors for project or operational roles, CIT students also have the option of doing an individual practicum in place of one of the team-based projects. The individual practicum is for students in the final term of CIT, and requires at least 100 hours of work (paid or unpaid) with a company for 10 weeks or more.
