eduroam provides visitors from other schools, universities and research institutes with secure access to WiFi without requiring temporary accounts.

This network allows students, faculty, and staff access to wireless services at cooperating institutions using the same credentials as they would at their home institution. Support for eduroam is currently available from member institutions in Canada, Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Getting started

Visiting another school, university or research institute? Use your own eduroam ‘home’ credentials to access WiFi at any participating institute.

The basic information needed to configure a device to use the wireless eduroam network at BCIT is as follows:

Network / SSID eduroam
Username Students: @my.bcit.ca email address

Employees: @bcit.ca email address

Network Authentication Method WPA2
(also known as WPA2-PEAP, WPA2-RADIUS, or WPA2-Enterprise)
Encryption Type AES (WPA2)
