Upcoming change to BCIT Windows devices - Idle session lockout

Beginning March 9th, 2023, BCIT issued Windows and Mac devices will lock automatically after being inactive/idle for 15 minutes.  This change applies to all employees, faculty and contractors using a BCIT issued Windows device.

Implementing the idle session lock out ensures that your computer is automatically locked after 15 minutes of inactivity and prevents unauthorized access to your computer while it is unattended.

Locking your device does not close/shutdown any programs or files you are using.  Enter your BCIT credentials to unlock the device and pick up where you left off.
