In September 2022, BCIT deployed multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all faculty, staff, and contractors to improve our cybersecurity and remain compliant with information security policies.
BCIT introduced MFA for students in September 2023.
About BCIT MFA
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a multi-step account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password. For example, along with the password, users might be asked to enter a code sent to their device, use a security key, or scan a fingerprint. A second form of authentication can help prevent unauthorized account access if a password has been compromised.
