Overview

The “Internet of Things”, or IoT, refers to the billions of physical devices around the world that are now connected to the Internet, all collecting and sharing data. Connecting all these different objects and adding sensors to them adds a level of digital intelligence to devices, enabling them to communicate real- time data without involving a human being. With better data available and new ways to use data, IoT is providing innovative ways to creatively solve new challenges and address and fix old problems. The IoT is making the fabric of the world around us smarter and more responsive, bridging the physical and digital worlds. This microcredential shines a light on how IoT is changing the way we work and live.
