Johny Bassan is the Director Internet of Things (IoT) at BCIT. With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and over 30 years of business and product development in the international marketplace, Johny brings a wealth of expertise to BCIT: a strong IT background in manufacturing, inspection & automation, software programing, object oriented algorithms, computer graphics, CAD-CAM, laser inspection & 3D scanning, real-time motion tracking, 3D modeling and 3D printing, vision systems, sensors & integrated systems, and project management.
Johny has worked closely with private companies and government organizations in product development projects both locally and internationally.
Prior to becoming Director of IoT, Johny spent two years as Project Leader with the BCIT’s Applied Research Liaison Office working on developing and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
