The CICL team combines multidisciplinary expertise in microgrid technologies, substation automation, data analytics, optimization techniques, smart grid component modeling, and cybersecurity.

The CICL team is led by Dr. Moein Manbachi. For more information about CICL, please contact him.

What Do We Do?

The CICL team’s activities are focused on six key research areas:

  • Microgrid Modeling and Real-time Operation
  • Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity
  • Virtualization and Digital Twinning of Critical Energy Infrastructures
  • Critical Energy Infrastructure Modeling and Optimization
  • Substation Automation Systems and Protocols
  • Substation Protection, Monitoring, and Control
