Waste Management takes a sustainable approach to managing solid waste produced by the BCIT community. Facilities Services has a comprehensive waste management program which emphasizes recycling and composting.
Our program diverts close to 70% of campus waste away from the landfill by:
- recycling office supplies;
- recycling office equipment;
- recycling consumer products;
- recycling industrial waste; and
- composting organic materials.
