Step 1: SkilledTradesBC registration
To be eligible for apprenticeship training you must be registered as an apprentice with SkilledTradesBC.
Step 2: Pick a date
Check the apprentice training schedule to find a date that suitable for you and your employer.
Step 3: Check recommendations for success
Most apprenticeship training programs don’t have entrance requirements, but certain courses, skills, or knowledge may help you to succeed. Check your apprenticeship program’s Entrance Requirements page to see what’s recommended.
Step 4: Submit your training request
Submit an Apprentice Training Request [PDF] and commitment fee to BCIT Apprentice Services.
Step 5: Receive notification
Apprentice services will mail a letter to your home address within two weeks of your request. This letter includes instructions for signing on to myBCIT, where you will receive your training confirmation details.
