If you have applied to a program through BCIT’s Admissions or Apprentice Services, all official correspondence, letters and messages regarding your application will be delivered through myBCIT.

Within 2 business days of submitting your application online you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your myBCIT account. Once logged in, you can access myCommunication, use your BCIT email, and check your application status.

Accessing myCommunication

All official correspondence, letters and messages from BCIT will be sent through myCommunication, which you can access from within your myBCIT account. After you’ve logged in, simply view your messages in the top centre box called “myCommunication from Student Services” or click on “myCommunication” under Online Self Service. Here, you will be able to view and print your letters (such as acceptance letters).

Each time you receive correspondence via myCommunication an automated email will be sent to your myBCIT email address. Some correspondence is time sensitive. It’s important to watch for these emails or regularly check myCommunication online via myBCIT, both during the application process and throughout your studies at BCIT.

Using your BCIT email

Your BCIT email inbox lives on your myBCIT home page, underneath myCommunication. Look for the box called “My E-mail Inbox.” If you would like to have your myBCIT emails forwarded to a personal email address, you can set up email forwarding. While all official communication from the Registrar’s Office will be sent via myCommunication, please be aware that your program area may send information by email or regular mail.

Checking your application status

You can check your application status at any time during the application process by logging in to your myBCIT account and clicking on “Check Application Status or Upload More Documents” under Online Self Service.
