BCIT Building & Wayfinding Guidelines

Detailed guideline documents for building signage and wayfinding signage systems are available for use by capital project teams and the wider campus community. The document include approved icons, interior and exterior building signage and public realm wayfinding signage systems for the Burnaby and CARI campuses.

In Addition to the guidelines documents BCIT has also created a Master Sign Plan Document that is a site specific governing bylaw policy document used by BCIT Campus Planning and the City of Burnaby Planning Department when implementing new exterior signage around the perimeter of Burnaby and CARI Campuses.

Recent Wayfinding Upgrades

This new Pedestrian Wayfinding Pylon was installed outside SW1. This type of signage is used in prominent locations as a primary navigation, providing users directions to campus destinations using both text and graphic maps. These signs are located at key pathway intersections.
