Most Computing Part-time credential programs cannot be completed in less than two (2) years.

Part-time Studies is a course by course registration and not all courses are offered every term.

Please note: It is not possible for students to attempt a full-time course load via PTS courses due to schedules and prerequisites.

If you are looking to fast-track a credential, please consider our Full-time 2-year programs.

Do not assume that by completing any part-time equivalent COMP courses that you will be accepted into the full-time programs.

You must work with the Program Heads in advance for any COMP course planning and prior approval if you plan to apply to full-time. Full-time admissions are competitive and there is currently a waitlist with no guarantee of acceptance.

We have created the Computing Flexible Learning Student Guide [PDF] to help you be successful in BCIT Computing courses and programs.

It is each student’s responsibility to read this guide and to be familiar with our department rules and expectations. Your instructor is your first point of contact while your course is in progress for anything related to course operation, learning outcomes or delivery.

For any administrative items, registration questions, waitlists for courses etc., please contact your Program Assistant via email: Always be sure to include your name and A0 student number in the subject line of all email correspondence.

For course and program planning advice after you have read the related web pages, please provide details in email only to Computing PTS Program Head: Otherwise please email the Program Assistants for all administrative, registration, operational and general questions.

Note:  Our offices are currently closed to the public. All course and program information are clearly detailed online. Please read the related web pages before contacting us. You must always start with a brief email, please do not drop in and do not telephone without an appointment.

Thank you.
