BCIT’s Basic Health Sciences department offers part-time, continuing education courses to help students upgrade their science prerequisites or fulfill program elective requirements.

Faculty have specific health sector expertise and emphasize the application of concepts in a real world settings.

Our goal is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge they need in a wide range of programs offered through the School of Health Sciences.

In addition, we offer introductory university-level, transferable, anatomy and physiology and psychology courses to students looking to fulfill elective requirements for degree programs such as those in the School of Business and Nursing, or diploma programs such as Interior Design, or to transfer to other institutions.
