Registration

EPAS tuition is free for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with protected person or Convention refugee status. Students remain responsible for mandatory ancillary fees, including student association and BCIT ID card fees. Students in these categories may also be eligible for the Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG), which can help cover student fees, textbooks, childcare, and transportation.

How to register for EPAS courses

You may register by phone, in person, or online.

Telephone or in-person registration

Contact Student Information and Enrolment Services at 604-434-1610, or
Visit the Burnaby campus in Building SW1

Ancillary fees must be paid within two business days of registration

Online registration

Go to the course website for the course you want to register for
Select a course schedule/CRN from the list
Click “View Details”
Click “Add to Cart”
- Repeat steps 1–4 if registering for more than one course
Scroll to the top of the page and select “View Cart”
Review all information carefully on the cart page
Check the box confirming you have read and understood the details
Click “Continue to Registration”, then “OK, Continue to Registration”
Sign in using your BCIT student number and password
On the Registration Status page, confirm you are registered in the correct course(s)
Click “Continue”
Agree to the conditions and terms, then click “Continue”
Review the Tuition and Payment Information page

Important for domestic students:

The tuition portion of EPAS fees is waived
It takes 1–2 business days for the system to update
Log out and do not make any payments at this time

After 1–2 business days:

Log back into your account
Go to Student Self Service
Select Fee Assessment, Payment and Receipts
Click Pay Tuition – All Students
Confirm that tuition fees have been removed
Pay ancillary fees only using Online Banking
- Your account number is your student ID (A0#######)
- Bill Payee: BCIT Tuition & Fees

Please allow up to 48 business hours after payment for your account to update.

Just before the course start date, log into the Learning Hub to access class and course materials

Important registration notes

Registration is first-come, first-served; seats cannot be held
Students may register for multiple courses, but cannot take two similar courses at the same time (ex. you cannot register for two reading and writing courses within the same term, but you can pair a reading and writing course with a speaking and listening course within the same term)
EPAS is a laddered program; to move to the next level, students must be placed in the course or successfully complete the previous level
