Students working in food technology.

Students in their final term are available to work with industry on small projects. Projects are assigned in November of each year. The majority of work on projects occurs on Wednesdays from January to April. Students must carry out the following tasks to satisfy the graduation requirement:

  1. Perform a literature review
  2. Develop methodology
  3. Complete lab work
  4. Write a final report
  5. Give an oral presentation (at the beginning of May)

Sponsors are asked to assist in directing students. Students have full access to BCIT’s pilot plant and analytical equipment. Sponsors are required to cover the cost of any consumables used during the project.

Please contact Rebecca Robertson at 604-432-8948 or rebecca_robertson@bcit.ca if you have a possible industry project, or any questions.

The deadline for industry projects is early November each year.
