All preceptorship learners are to work within the BSN Student Scope of Practice. In some case there maybe an exception, however this will be negotiated between the Health Authority, Agency, Preceptor and BCIT Instructor.
Learners can not perform advanced skills.
Learners in the majority of Specialty Areas will have completed required BCIT Specialty Nursing Courses prior to the start of preceptorship.
