Mandate

The School of Health Sciences Research Committee was established in the Summer of 2011 to support the advancement of Applied Research and Development within the School and at BCIT, consistent with the Institution’s mission and mandate statements.

Objectives

The committee’s objectives can be summarized as follows:

  • Liaise with other School Research Committees and Research Groups, and the Institute Research Committee, and with external institutions to facilitate co-operative efforts.
  • Evaluate research proposals in both preliminary and final stages of development.
  • Advocate for faculty research interests and needs.
  • Develop through a consultative process, the emergence of research themes, centres, and strategies that advance research and related areas of academic programming.
