The Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills (the Ministry) is pleased to offer 3 $17,500 merit-based scholarships to graduate students. The scholarship will be disbursed in 2 instalments: $8,750 at the beginning of the first semester (September), and $8,750 at the beginning of the second semester (January).
To complete your application, you must submit the following by the application deadline:
Email your transcripts to: sawards@bcit.ca and be sure to include your full name, BCIT student ID number, and indicate that you are applying for the BC Graduate Scholarship (BCGS).
Important: Official transcripts must be received by the application deadline. Applications will not be considered without them.
Recipients will be selected on a competitive basis.
During the award application period, the application form will be available on your myBCIT account. The online application will open June 30th.

Note: You can update your application at any time during the application period by making changes and clicking Save Section. Once all sections are marked COMPLETE, you must click Mark Application as Complete to officially submit your application.
Important: If you don’t complete this final step, your application will remain incomplete and will not be reviewed. Please note that no changes can be made after the deadline.
Completed applications must be submitted online by 11:59 pm on August 11
Successful recipients will receive an award confirmation letter by email.
Award results will be available on my.bcit.ca by the end of September. You will receive an email from us when results become available.
To view your results, log in to myBCIT and select:
A cheque will be mailed within four weeks from the date the award is disbursed. Please ensure your mailing address is current on your myBCIT account.
Note: If you have outstanding monies owing to BCIT, this amount will be deducted from your award.
