Note:

Please check Guard.me’s FAQ and Urgent Update re: COVID-19 for details regarding their medical insurance coverage for international students in Canada and COVID-19.

International students must have private basic medical insurance coverage for any period of time that they will study at BCIT while they are not covered by BC Medical Services Plan (MSP).

This includes:

  • Any students who have recently arrived in BC during their MSP coverage wait period
  • Exchange and study abroad students staying for a single term (who are not eligible for MSP)
