International Confirmation of Enrolment Letters are designed to provide IRCC with the information that they will require in order to process various applications including study permit extensions and co-op work permits. The information on these letters includes:
- Your program of study
- Your current academic status (full-time or part-time)
- The start and anticipated end date of your current program
Eligibility requirements
- Be a current international student admitted or declared in a program at BCIT and enrolled in courses for the current term
- Have met BCIT’s study permit requirement (not required for students studying remotely from outside of Canada due to COVID-19)
- Have submitted proof of enrolling in BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) (not required for students studying remotely from outside of Canada due to COVID-19)
- Not have any outstanding fees – see Payment Options at BCIT for instructions on how to pay your fees
- Have remained enrolled and made reasonable and timely progress towards completing your program
