International students at BCIT are charged international tuition fees, unless eligible for domestic fees.
Commitment fee
International students offered a seat for an academic program to BCIT are charged a $6,000 non-refundable commitment fee which must be paid in order to secure their seat in the program.
Full-time cohort programs
International tuition fees for Full-time cohort programs are charged by the term. Fees are standardized for students enrolled in the standard cohort block schedule for a given term. Estimate your full-time tuition & fees.
Newly accepted students will be notified of the first term tuition deadline through their official admissions letters. For continuing students, tuition is due 15 days before the term start.
Note that students in a Full-time cohort program on a modified schedule are charged international modified registration tuition fees per credit.

Flexible Learning
International tuition fees Flexible Learning are charged course-by-course and are typically 3.4 times the domestic rate indicated on the course web page. The exact cost of a given course will be calculated upon completion of registration. Tuition fees are due upon registration for a given course.

Domestic fee eligibility
Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are eligible for domestic tuition fees.
Additionally, at the institute’s discretion students in the categories listed below may be eligible to pay domestic fees at BCIT.
In order to be considered for domestic fee eligibility, you will need to provide documents that verify your eligibility for domestic tuition fees. See below for which documents are needed for each specific category.
A domestic fee eligibility request along with all supporting documents must be received by BCIT before the refund deadline for all of your courses for the term. Exceptions cannot be backdated or pro-rated for previous terms regardless of when the student became eligible.
How to submit a request & your supporting documents
You may submit your request and supporting documents by email to isc@bcit.ca. Please use the subject line Domestic fee eligibility request and include your BCIT ID number – create a BCIT ID first if you don’t already have one.
Alternatively, if you prefer to bring your documents in person you may email isc@bcit.ca in advance to request an appointment at our International Student Centre at BCIT’s main campus in Burnaby.
