Study Abroad Photo Contest

We are excited to feature a Study Abroad Photo Contest as part of our International Education Week 2025 programming.

If you have ever travelled internationally to study, we invite you to submit a favourite photo from that experience for a chance to win a BCIT Student Association gift card!

Review contest rules below
Choose a favourite photo taken while studying abroad or as an international student in Canada
Email the photo to international.activities@bcit.ca by Thursday, November 13th along with:

- your name & BCIT student number
- The date & location of the photo
- The name of the school at which you were studying when you took the photo
- A short description of the photo (less than 50 words)

Photos must be submitted according to the instructions above, and must be received by 11:59 am Pacific Time on Thursday, November 13th
A selection of photos will be displayed at BCIT’s International Education Week Celebration, where the general public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite photo
Contest winners will be contacted by BCIT via email and will receive a BCIT Student Association gift card
Winning photos will be featured on the BCIT International Student website

The contest is only open to current BCIT students
Only one photo may be submitted per student
Only .JPG and .PNG digital image files are accepted
The student submitting the photo must either be the photographer or must appear in the photo (and have permission from the photographer)
The photographer agrees to permit their photo to be posted on the BCIT International Student
By submitting a photo containing any people who are identifiable, the student certifies that they have consent from each of the individuals in the photo for this photo to be submitted to this contest (proof of written consent may be required for winning photos)
