Work out every day and enjoy five lunch hour classes for the price of one. A different class is offered each day. All of these classes are free for BCIT students/staff and are on a first-come, first-served basis. *NEW* Participants must register online for each Group Fitness Class they would like to attend. Registration is free, and lasts for the whole term.
Monday- Cardio Strength +
Ready to elevate your fitness game to a whole new level? Join our exhilarating Cardio Plus Fitness Class and combine heart-pounding cardio exercises with a diverse range of strength and flexibility training to create a comprehensive workout experience.

Tuesday – Strength & Conditioning
This class is designed to increase physical strength and muscular endurance using weight-bearing and compound strength building exercises. All major muscle groups will be worked using dumbbells, bodyweight and core exercises.
Wednesday- Group Spin
Get you ready for next level outdoor riding. On the road, the gravel trails or the mountains. 40 minutes of hill climbs, fast flats and sprints will make you stronger and fitter for any riding you do.
Thursday- HIIT
Alternating short periods of intense or explosive anaerobic exercise with brief recovery periods until the point of exhaustion. HIIT involves exercises performed in repeated quick bursts at maximum or near maximal effort with periods of rest or low activity.
Friday- Mobility Stretch (In-person/online)
Help improve posture and alleviate tight and over stressed muscles with this 40 minute rehabilitation focused class. Registration required for virtual attendance.

Beginner Ballet Technique
Ballet helps to build a strong base, clean technique, and proper alignment, all of which are essential for any kind of dance. Barre exercises, center room, and a floor stretch are taught to classical music variations. This class is for those with little or no dance background, you’ll learn all the basics at this level

Beginner Salsa Dance
Join us for Beginner Salsa Dancing at BCIT! This 6-week progressive class will teach the foundations of salsa as a partner dance. By the end, you’ll be familiar with the basic steps of salsa, turn patterns, and rhythm recognition.
No prior dance experience or partner is required.

Hip Hop Fundamentals
Hip-hop dance is a unique and stylistic form of street dance that is performed to hip-hop music. It’s a vibrant form of dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements, grooving, footwork, and free flow. Expect a warmup of foundational grooves, then an energetic, heart-pumping combination full of foundation and party-ready choreography. This is a beginner level class.

Barre-Pilates Fusion
A full-body workout that will increase muscular stability and improve your core strength. It fuses ballet-inspired moves with elements of pilates, dance and yoga to work and strengthen the body. We follow the beat of the music with low-impact, high-repetition movements that build endurance and keep you moving. No dance experience required, all levels welcome.

Zumba
This high energy dance fitness workout feels more like a party than a workout. Groove to the beats of salsa, merengue, and other popular dance styles while burning calories, strengthening your core and improving your flexibility and balance. This ‘exercise in disguise” workout will emphasize moving to the music and having a good time, no rhythm required. Studies show that dance helps reduce stress, increase serotonin levels, improve brain function, and memory.
Cross trainers or shoes with very little tread work best (shoes for running are not recommended).

Bootcamp

FUNctional Step
Step is back baby! This functional format includes choreographed routines on the step to provide cardio, strength, and conditioning exercises that will improve your coordination, power, and agility.

TRX Strength
Build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability with a suspension training rig, body weight, and gravity as resistance. There will be the option to introduce light hand-weights into the workout.

Notice for all Martial Arts Classes. Required Equipment: Hand wraps and gloves are required for this class. Participants must bring their own hand wraps. Participants are encouraged to speak to the instructor before purchasing their equipment, or if equipment purchase would preclude attendance in this class.
Boxing: Fundamentals
New to boxing or looking to sharpen the basics? This class is all about building a strong foundation. You’ll learn the core techniques of stance, movement, punches, and defense while getting comfortable training in the studio. Muay Thai
Muay Thai, known as the “art of 8 limbs,” uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knees for a full-body martial arts experience. This class is open to all levels — whether it’s your first time trying martial arts or you already have experience. We’ll begin by learning the fundamentals of striking and movement, then build into partner drills, combos, and conditioning. You’ll develop discipline, confidence, and fitness while learning a martial art that’s both powerful and fun.

Deep Stretch Yoga
Unwind and release with this slow, restorative class focused on deep Stretching and relaxation. Ideal for anyone feeling tight, stiff, or stressed, this session targets deep muscles tension, improves flexibility and enhances mobility. Poses are held for longer periods to allow the body to fully open and release.
Hatha Yoga
A gentle, foundational style of yoga that emphasizes physical postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation. Ideal for beginners, Hatha yoga focuses on improving balance, flexibility, and mindfulness.
