Here you will find descriptions and prices for all of the fitness classes we are currently offering.

Work out every day and enjoy five lunch hour classes for the price of one. A different class is offered each day. All of these classes are free for BCIT students/staff and are on a first-come, first-served basis. *NEW* Participants must register online for each Group Fitness Class they would like to attend. Registration is free, and lasts for the whole term.
Group Fitness classes for the Summer begin the week of May 4th (no break in between Winter & Summer classes). Please check each class below for their specific end date.
Monday- Cardio Strength +
Ready to elevate your fitness game to a whole new level? Join our exhilarating Cardio Plus Fitness Class and combine heart-pounding cardio exercises with a diverse range of strength and flexibility training to create a comprehensive workout experience.

Tuesday – Strength & Conditioning
This class is designed to increase physical strength and muscular endurance using weight-bearing and compound strength building exercises. All major muscle groups will be worked using dumbbells, bodyweight and core exercises.

Wednesday- Group Spin
Get you ready for next level outdoor riding. On the road, the gravel trails or the mountains. 40 minutes of hill climbs, fast flats and sprints will make you stronger and fitter for any riding you do.
Classes end: June 24
Thursday- HIIT
Alternating short periods of intense or explosive anaerobic exercise with brief recovery periods until the point of exhaustion. HIIT involves exercises performed in repeated quick bursts at maximum or near maximal effort with periods of rest or low activity.

Friday- Mobility Stretch (In-person/online)
Help improve posture and alleviate tight and over stressed muscles with this 40 minute rehabilitation focused class. Registration required for virtual attendance.

Group Fitness Public Pass
Public Members can purchase a Group Fitness Public Pass to take part in our Group Fitness program. You can purchase this pass at the front desk in SE-16.

Barre-Pilates Fusion
A full-body workout that will increase muscular stability and improve your core strength. It fuses ballet-inspired moves with elements of pilates, dance and yoga to work and strengthen the body. We follow the beat of the music with low-impact, high-repetition movements that build endurance and keep you moving. No dance experience required, all levels welcome.

Zumba
This high energy dance fitness workout feels more like a party than a workout. Groove to the beats of salsa, merengue, and other popular dance styles while burning calories, strengthening your core and improving your flexibility and balance. This ‘exercise in disguise” workout will emphasize moving to the music and having a good time, no rhythm required. Studies show that dance helps reduce stress, increase serotonin levels, improve brain function, and memory.
Cross trainers or shoes with very little tread work best (shoes for running are not recommended).

Bootcamp
Utilizing kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, TRX, and bodyweight exercises, this challenging bootcamp class provides a full-body experience suitable for all fitness levels. Prepare to sweat, push your limits, and have fun in a motivating and supportive environment.

Muscles & Mobility
Build strength with a combination of resistance training and range-of-motion exercises to improve joint health, flexibility, and function. The focus will be on controlled exercises with emphasis on proper form. This workout is ideal for building core stability and enhancing your daily movement.

Notice for all Martial Arts Classes. Required Equipment: Hand wraps and gloves are required for this class. Participants must bring their own hand wraps. Participants are encouraged to speak to the instructor before purchasing their equipment, or if equipment purchase would preclude attendance in this class.
Boxing Summer Camp: Fitness
This summer, come learn how to train like a martial arts athlete! This program is designed to build boxing-specific cardio, strength, and conditioning. Using both outdoor and indoor training, as well as targeted exercises to improve physical metrics like endurance, power, agility, and overall fitness. Participants will be completing performance tests bi weekly throughout the program to track key fitness metrics and measure progress over time, allowing for a visual representation of growth! It is a great way to get in shape and see improvement both physically and statistically.

Boxing Summer Camp: Skill
Designed to complement Boxing Summer Camp: Fitness, this class will focus on technique. Participants will work on techniques used to improve offense, defense, mobility, and ring IQ. These skills allow individuals to improve their boxing capabilities in the ring. By the end of the semester, you will develop smarter, more effective boxing skills, allowing you to compete in any class environment.
