Fast-track your credential with Experience-Based Placement

Developed to bridge the gap between workplace experience and post-secondary education, Experience-Based Placement aims to provide recognition and alternative pathways for adult learners.

After an assessment of the knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through your work, life, or non-academic learning, you may qualify for an Advanced Placement & Prior Learning (APPL) pathway or course recognition (i.e. Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) toward a certificate, diploma, or degree program.

Note: You must demonstrate that you meet any additional Admissions requirements found on the Program Entry page (i.e. English requirement). Work experience outside of stated roles will be assessed on an individual basis.
