Apply to a Program — Part-time Studies

To take many of the courses or programs offered through part-time studies, you are not required to apply in order to be accepted. In most cases, you can simply choose the courses you want, register, and then pay your fees.

If you plan to complete one of the many programs offered through part-time studies, you need to complete a Part-time Program Declaration form [PDF]. It's a good idea to complete two or three courses before submitting your program declaration. For further advice, contact a part-time studies program advisor.

The following steps are general guidelines to help you through the program application process. You should refer to your program's web page for more specific instructions to ensure your application is complete.

Step 1: Choose your program

What is your passion? What is your career goal? Knowing what you want to study is the first step.

Step 2: Meet the entrance requirements

To be successful in BCIT's applied learning environment, students must demonstrate English proficiency in all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. English requirements are program-specific. Find your program online and refer to the program entry details.

If your course or program does not have a specific English requirement, two years of education in English in an English-speaking country and English 12 are strongly recommended for success.
