Online Invigilation Update
Online invigilation services will not be available from October 4 to October 18. Please plan ahead accordingly.
The mathematics assessment is designed to measure general mathematical competence. Basic principles of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and measurement are assessed. The assessment evaluates the level of mathematical skills you would have learned in school or adult basic education classes, and provides a measure of your readiness to learn and use advanced math skills in trades training.
- Multiple-choice format
- Time limit
- Only one re-write may be attempted per term
- Passing score varies by program
To write the mathematics assessment, please follow these three steps:
- Booking an appointment to write the assessment.
If you need to write the Mathematics assessment as part of your entrance requirements, please register for it via the Mathematics assessment course page.
Each assessment has a $40.00 fee (subject to change without notice). These fees, which are tuition, must be paid at least 3 business days prior to writing your assessment(s). Assessment fees are non-refundable. You may pay for your assessment fees through online banking or Flywire. For more information on payment options, please visit BCIT’s Payment Options webpage.
