Jill of All Trades is a day-long event led by female mentors to inspire young women or those who identify as female in Grades 9 through 12 to pursue careers in the Skilled Trades. Participants will experience a fun-filled day of practical, in-the-shop sessions.
Be ready to see the BCIT facilities, interact with industry professionals, and join a series of workshops in several disciplines that include among others: Ironworking, Sheet Metal, CNC Machinist, Industrial Instrumentation, Joinery, and Motorcycle Technician.








Safety Information
Participants will be required to wear long pants (no sweatpants, yoga pants, or shorts) and closed toed shoes (runners or sneakers) – no ballet flats or sandals of any kind. BCIT will provide safety glasses and steel toe caps for use in the shops.
Parents/legal guardians are required to complete and submit the media consent and acknowledgement of risk form before the event.

Meet Cassidy Mceown
Cassidy Mceown completed the Okanagan College Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Apprenticeship Program in Kelowna. Mceown has spent several years on History Channel’s Rust Valley Restorers (RVR) and became Red Seal Certified in August 2020.
