Supervisory skills
The Supervisory Skills workshop will provide the tools for supervisors to achieve improved productivity by identifying barriers and solutions through decision making models. The role of a supervisor will further be explored by understanding group dynamics, effective delegation and problem solving skills while continuing to maintain a motivating environment.
Leadership 1 – Self as leader
BCIT’s Leadership Workshop series begins with developing self-awareness to identify strengths and challenges while exploring emotional intelligence and its effectiveness for communication and feedback.
Leadership 2 – Leading teams
This applied workshop will cover team leadership models and how to apply a team charter to develop performance and accountabilities. Effective goal setting and working towards a shared vision will be learned through group interaction and experiential activities. Leadership 2 builds on the personal leadership skills covered in Leadership 1.
Leadership 3 – Leading organizations
The final workshop in BCIT’s Leadership series examines leadership at the organizational level through strategic planning and an insightful look into culture and sub-cultures. Learn how to cascade a plan and identify strategies to facilitate organizational change.
