Course Overview
Presents a practical study of Canadian business law, including the legal and administrative systems, torts, contracts, sale of goods and consumer protection, employment, business organizations, and intellectual property. Participation in this course, taught by lawyers, prepares you to recognize and feel comfortable with the legal aspects of doing business.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe and demonstrate a basic knowledge of the law and recognize legal issues as they arise.
- Describe and demonstrate a general understanding of business law as it applies to business relationships and transactions.
- Apply the rules of law to business situations and limit their potential legal exposure.
- Describe and demonstrate how to engage in lawful business practices and transactions.
- Handle data and related new technologies in a responsible manner by complying with digital ethics.
- Communicate effectively with lawyers and regulators.
