Parking Tips

Student/Public parking lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and fill up quickly from Monday to Friday. Be sure to allow yourself time to find a parking space and walk to class.

As a rough guide, student parking lots fill up as follows:

• Lots A & B and the northwest Lot Q are the first ones to be full followed by the southeast lots (D, E, F, G)
• Those with later classes should try lots Lots J, M, or N as they are not the first ones to fill up

Students/Public can get a discounted daily rate when parking at the Burnaby campus using the following methods:

• Economy Lot: Located in the southwest part of the Burnaby campus, Lot L is an economy lot with a $5.50 daily rate. Spaces in this lot will be strictly on a first come first served basis with payment at the local pay station only (no pre-purchase). An Economy ticket purchased at this pay station is only be used for the economy Lot L.

• Weekly or Monthly E-Permit: Available at Pay by Phone under location 924, this method can guarantee users a discounted rate of $6.50 (plus applicable taxes) when purchasing a weekly or monthly pass.
• Flex E-Permit: Available at HONK under location 924, this option offers another way for students and visitors to access parking at accessible prices, without requiring a weekly or monthly pass. Users can purchase packs of 10 or 20 daily parking permits at the discounted rate of $6.50 (plus applicable taxes).
