Public Parking
- Student & Public parking are identified by lettered lots
– Available 24hrs 7days/week - Staff only lots are available to students & public Mon – Fri 4:30 pm – 6:00am, Sat – Sun all day, except 8, 24,29.

Purchase Student Passes
The Concord CTRL platform is the one stop shop for students to purchase discounted parking passes. Use your BCIT email and password to log into this platform. You can purchase up to 50 passes you can use any time.
Hourly rates are available for public & student in lettered lots.
Purchase hourly passes through SMART PASS or through nearby pay station.
Economy Lot S & Lot L
Lot S & Lot L are economy lots with a $5.75 daily rate. Spaces in these lots are on a strictly first come first served basis with payment at the local pay station or via the QR code in the lot (no pre-purchase).
An Economy ticket purchased at this pay station is only to be used for the economy lots.
Economy Lots are available to students & public 24hrs 7days/week.
60 stalls of underground public parking with dedicated level 2 EV chargers.
Parkade is available Mon – Sun 6:00am – 10:00pm. EV charging is included with the price of parking. Each stall is equipped with a level 2 EV charging station, although charging is not required to park in this lot.
Payment can be made using the Public QR Code or at the meters. Meters are located in the middle of the parkade beside the elevator.
Economy Lot S & Lot L

Burnaby designated parking areas
- Staff parking are identified by numbered lots.
Lot exceptions and restrictions
- Staff parking lots are restricted to BCIT Staff during the day, Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Staff lots are open to Students/Public after 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and on weekends with the exception of lots 8, 24, and 29 which are restricted to Staff 24/7.

Reciprocal Parking
BCIT has a reciprocal parking agreement with Simon Fraser University (SFU) that allows faculty and staff to access parking. This agreement is meant to encourage cross-institutional cooperation and provides for only the occasional use of BCIT parking facilities.
SFU faculty and staff attending BCIT Burnaby campus will be allocated in any Public/Student lot and may park free of charge for such activities as attending meetings or seminars of a departmental, academic, or administrative nature.
To request reciprocal parking at BCIT, please email parking@bcit.ca including a copy of your current valid permit, your name, ID, and your license plate number. Once approved, an email with confirmation will be sent back and your information will be added to the courtesy list for the day.
To request reciprocal parking at SFU, please email parking@bcit.ca including your BCIT ID number to receive the required proof of permit and then submit it to parking@sfu.ca along with your license plate for approval. For more information, please visit SFU Parking.
Reciprocal parking does not apply to faculty or staff attending BCIT for any of the following reasons:
- Attending classes at BCIT
- Duties related to project-specific research or study
- The general use of the library or athletic facilities
- Matters of a personal nature
Contractor / Vendor parking permit
Your BCIT liaison/project coordinator may provide additional options for parking at the Burnaby campus. Please contact them for more details.
Otherwise parking will be available at all designated public lots
Information on parking for student housing is available through the Housing Portal.
Parking of recreational vehicles, motor homes or any unlicensed vehicle is not permitted in the Student Housing parking lot. Student Housing parking permits are not transferable for use in other BCIT parking lots.
