Parking ticket dispensers

The Burnaby Campus parking ticket dispensers are situated around the campus parking lot colored zones. For parking lot locations, see the Burnaby Campus Map [PDF]

The parking ticket dispensers accepts credit card payments only, including prepaid credit cards.

Parking reminder

A reminder to all BCIT Students and Employees that on-street parking in the City of Burnaby is limited to two hours maximum. You will be subjected to a fine for parking more than two hours and/or parking closer that 5 feet to any driveway.

As there is ample parking on the Burnaby BCIT Campus for all staff and students and in the interest of being a good corporate neighbor, please park in an authorized designated spot on Campus.

SW1 pick up and drop off zone

Full-time students - days

Parking ticket dispenser receipts and e-permits can be transferred from one student parking lot to a second student parking lot on the same validation date. Monday to Friday daytime school hours are 6:00 am until 4:30 pm. Parking receipts and e-permits are not valid in employee or visitor parking lots until after 4:30pm.

Part-time students - evenings

Parking ticket dispenser receipts and e-permits can be transferred from one student lot to a second student or employee parking lot on the same validation date. Monday to Friday evening school hours are 4:30pm until 6:00am in any student or staff lot with the exception of lots 8, 16 & 24 which are reserved for staff 24/7.

Verrus e-permits

E-permits provide students a web based parking alternative. The program is fast and easy, requires no permits and avoids line ups at parking ticket dispensers. Simply go on line and purchase parking for the number of weeks required.

Snow conditions

During snow conditions students using the parking ticket dispensers are asked to refer to the signage positioned in the parking kiosks directing the purchaser as follows:

Select a specific stall number and then display the receipt on the vehicle dash.

Pay-by-license plate parking lots

The Burnaby Campus has implemented pay-by-license plate parking. Parkers must observe the restriction that students or visitors must not park in employee lots until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of parking lots 8, 16 and 24, which are restricted to employee parking twenty-four hours a day, all year round.

The customer inputs license plate, makes their payment, and retains the ticket receipt as proof of purchase.

Parking lot signage has been provided with detailed information for each parking lot configuration. Please take the opportunity to understand your responsibilities.

Yellow Zone:

Pink Zone:
