Graduation Awards

Legion graduation awards are available to current and former Canadian Armed Forces members graduating from a BCIT program.

Annual graduation awards include:

2 x $2,000 awards
$2,500 award

Eligibility

You must be graduating from a certificate, diploma, or degree program at BCIT.

How to apply:

Send an email to the Legion Program Coordinator.

The application deadline is June 14 or the next business day. If you are graduating from your program after the spring or fall semester, you may be considered for the following year’s application deadline.

Bursary for CMEA members and their dependents pursuing post-secondary education.
Dominion Civil Service War Veterans’ Association Scholarship | ANAVETS Dominion Command – anavets@storm.ca
Scholarship for honourably discharged Canadian Armed Forces Veterans pursuing a diploma or degree at an accredited Canadian university or college.
Education and Training Benefit (ETB) | Veterans Affairs Canada
This program helps Veterans transition from military to civilian life by covering approved mandatory education costs, as well as certain incidental and living expenses. A portion may also be used for one-time self-fulfillment and personal interest and development courses.
Student Scholarship | RCAF Foundation
Scholarship for students pursuing studies in aviation, aerospace, and STEM.
Veterans Bursary Program | Universities Canada
A Federal court-mandated bursary that provides financial support to eligible Veterans and their families pursuing post-secondary education.
Vocational Rehabilitation and Vocational Assistance – Training Expenses | Veterans Affairs Canada
This program covers education and training expenses for Veterans participating in approved rehabilitation or career transition programs. Eligible costs may include tuition, supplies, and more.

Colonel Frank Kossa Memorial Scholarship | ANAVETS Dominion Command – anavets@storm.ca
Scholarship for Cadets who have earned the “ANAVETS Medal of Merit” and are entering any year of a University or Community College course leading to a degree or diploma.
Irving Shipbuilding Scholarship | The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Scholarship Foundation (RCSCEF)
Scholarship for Royal Canadian Sea Cadets entering marine related programs.
