Students will be introduced to Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) as it applies to interior design.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- View a given design model in Virtual Reality (VR) with an online resource, based on an industry standard procedure.
- Present a given design model in Augmented Reality (AR) with a smart phone app, based on an industry standard procedure.
- Navigate a given design model in a fully immersive Virtual Reality (VR) environment, base on an industry standard procedure.

Important information
- ***Please note*** - Students who do not meet the mandatory prerequisites will be dropped without notice. If you wish to be placed on the INTD Department maintained waitlist for this course, please email INTD_Waitlist@bcit.ca with the following information: Your Name, Student Number, Course Number, and CRN. Please note - waitlist requests are not accepted until after 9:30am on registration day. This is NOT a SELF-PACED course. There will be specific timelines for assignments. You will have assignments to complete each week (although you do NOT have to be online at a particular time or day). FINAL ASSIGNMENT: All final assignments MUST be completed at BCIT during the last week of the course on the designated dates and times given at course start. If you live outside the Lower Mainland area you will be required to arrange access to a computer with a VR headset capable of completing the assignment. This class will be held in a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) format. Students must supply their own PC laptop and smartphone. Students are responsible for backing up their personal information before using their devices for coursework.
