Have a passion to develop your original story idea into a short film or web series? Adapt an article, a life event or literary material for the screen? Not sure where to begin your journey as a media content creator? The hands-on workshops that make up this course will acquaint you with successful projects and first steps in creating your own screen-based content.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Research and write a compelling visual treatment and/or proposal.
- Access essential resources supporting the development of original screen content.
- Incorporate elements of visual storytelling into research and writing.
- Identify story rights, clearances, releases, permits and other production planning considerations.
- Identify local, regional, national and international sources of support and financing for content creation.
- Access traditional and non-traditional marketing, audience engagement and distribution resources.
