There will be specific timelines for assignments and exams. You will have readings, discussions, peer review, and assignments to complete on your own each week (although you do NOT have to be online at a particular time or on a particular day). Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Give a persuasive proposal presentation using a variety of visual communication techniques and technologies appropriate to a range of purposes and audiences.
  • Write an effective negative message using appropriate patterns of organization, style, and tone.
  • Research, write, illustrate, and revise a formal proposal.
  • Critically evaluate information to determine accuracy, credibility and relevance.
  • Develop group management strategies and allocate roles/responsibilities while working collaboratively as a team to complete a task.
  • Communicate collaboratively as an effective member of a team while preparing written or oral group projects.
