This course explores AutoCAD's advanced features allowing the user to efficiently create 2D drawings. Topics such as drawing, modifying, annotating, dynamic block creation, attribute extraction, managing external references and plotting are covered in greater depth introducing new commands and options. Sheet sets and express tools are examined as is CAD workflow. The format includes lecture, discussion as well as hands-on exercises and assignments. The expectation is that students have current training/experience equivalent to intermediate level AutoCAD. AICO 2000 AutoCAD 2 is recommended.

This course is eligible for students to receive funding through the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant at www.bcit.ca/financial-aid/strongerbc-future-skills-grant/. Students will register for the course themselves, and then apply for the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant to cover payment (if eligible). All applications for StrongerBC future skills grant funding for fall 2023 must be received by end of day September 8. BCIT reserves the right to cancel courses. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

- Use sheet sets to organize multiple file drawing sets.
