Fazmin Mohamed, Director of Manufacturing, Facilities and Digital Platforms at Svante
I am currently the Director of Manufacturing, Facilities, and Digital Platforms at Svante, where I lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. I oversee a multidisciplinary team of over 40 professionals, including manufacturing engineers, facilities and maintenance technicians, and software developers. My team is responsible for commissioning and sustaining world-class, highly automated equipment used to produce carbon capture filters.
Earlier in my career, I worked at Tesla as an Engineering Manager in Production Engineering, supporting the Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck structural battery programs at Gigafactories in Texas and Reno.
At Tesla, I led a team of more than 20 engineers and technicians and managed the deployment of advanced manufacturing systems, including highly automated production lines featuring 97 robots performing complex welding, material handling, and assembly operations. I worked cross-functionally to ensure best-in-class equipment installation, developed validation criteria for custom automation systems, and partnered closely with build teams to design robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.
This experience allowed me to operate in one of the most innovative and fast-paced manufacturing environments in the world, reinforcing the importance of precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
