When do you offer campus tours?

Campus tours are offered on weekdays between 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the months of September to May.

For a list of available dates, continue to the Personal Tour or Group Tour registration pages.

Who leads your campus tours?

Your campus tour will be led by a Student Ambassador. This means you'll get the inside scoop on both the academic and social sides of life at BCIT. Meet our current Student Ambassadors.

What will I see on a campus tour?

All BCIT campus tours focus on one of our two areas of excellence: Trades and Technology. Please let us know which type of tour you would like to take. Both Trades and Technology Tours will give you an inside look at life at BCIT.

Technology Tour: This tour covers on the south side of the Burnaby Campus and is perfect for anyone who would like a general overview of what we have to offer. You'll visit some of our interactive labs and classrooms and will tour our student services, such as the fitness centre, library, and student association building.

Trades Tour: This tour focuses on the north side of campus, and would be ideal for anyone who would like to explore a career in trades. On this tour, you'll visit BCIT's shops and classrooms, which are designed for students who are training in Trades and Technician programs.

Where do I meet my tour guide?

All campus tours begin in the Gateway Building (SW1) at the Burnaby Campus [PDF].

Please meet your Student Ambassador/Tour Guide at the welcome desk inside the SW1 Gateway Building (located at the main entrance to BCIT, off Willingdon Avenue.)

DO NOT inform Student Information you’ve arrived for a tour. A Student Ambassador will be at the welcome desk to greet you at your designated tour time.

There are times during the tour when you will be outside, so please dress appropriately. If rain is in the forecast, it’s a good idea to bring an umbrella!

Please refer to the Tour Resources for parking and general tour instructions.

Late Shows / Cancellations

If you cannot make your campus tour, a courtesy cancellation call or e-mail is required at least 24 hours in advance. If you are unavoidably late for the tour, please call 778-928-2453 to confirm you are still coming.

In the event of a late arrival without notice, your tour may be modified or cancelled if more than 10 minutes late. Late parties or individuals have the option to complete a self-guided tour, or rebook the tour for another day.
