Course Overview
Interested in Welding? This course is a hands on introduction to the common welding processes used in industry. Course will include oxyacetylene, MIG, TIG, and stick welding as well as appropriate safety procedures. CSA approved steel toed boots and 100% cotton overalls required.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Describe the most common types of welding processes that one may find in the Welding Industry.
- Identify the basic safety precautions and procedures for welding, cutting, and allied processes.
- Identify the protective equipment and clothing needed for welding.
Note: With one, or at the most, two days of practical time per process, the student will acquire a very elementary skill level in any of the given processes.
