- This section is only for students that need to write the PHYS 0120 challenge exam during this Spring/Summer 201820 term at an APPROVED test centre. The exam must be written no later than Friday, August 24th.Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. The PHYS 0120 exam fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Students can only write this exam ONCE. If a student registers and writes the exam a second time they will be given the mark from their first writing. The information provided to students is limited to the following - Students are required to bring to the exam writing: (1) one piece of valid photo identification (a BCIT Student ID Card, Driver's License, BC Services Card or Passport), (2) a printed tuition receipt from my.bcit.ca -> Student Self Service menu, (3) a scientific calculator (phones and computers are NOT allowed), (4) pen/pencil and eraser. Students will not be permitted to write the exam without the required documentation and the exam fee will be forfeited. Students must arrive at the exam location at least 15 minutes prior to the exam start time for ID and exam fee payment verification. The exam is designed for students who are well versed in the topics covered in the BC Physics 12 curriculum and who previously scored a mark equivalent to or exceeding the mark required by their program of choice. It is the STUDENT's responsibility to review their program entrance requirements to determine the minimum acceptable exam grade. To obtain information pertaining to the topics tested, refer to the Prescribed Learning Outcomes pages on the following website - www.bced.gov.bc.ca/irp/pdfs/sciences/2006physics1112.pdf. There is NO Instructor support and there are NO study materials or study material recommendations given to prepare for the exam. The PHYS 0120 exam is paper-based and a formula sheet will be handed out with the exam. The maximum time allowed to write this exam is 4 hours. Exam grades will be available online through my.bcit.ca -> Self Service menu in the Check grades section within 2 weeks following the exam writing date.
