Overview
The Transport Trailer Technician (TTT) apprenticeship program requires time spent on the job and in-school training. A Transport Trailer Technician trainee must complete a two-year program including workplace and in-school hours of training as follows:
- Technical Training: 2 levels, 420 hours
Registration in the following levels of training at BCIT:- Level 1 Heavy Mechanical Trades (HMT)
- Level 2 Transport Trailer Technician (TTT)
- Work based training: 3,000 hours
After completion of training, a passing grade on the interprovincial exam will result in the ITA Certificate of Qualification (Transport Trailer Technician) and Certificate of Apprenticeship and the Inter-Provincial Red Seal Endorsement.
