Overview
About the program
In the Aircraft Structural Technician Apprenticeship program, you’ll obtain the knowledge and skills to perform complex airframe assembly, as required by the aviation manufacturing industry. This program will focus on airframe assembly through the application of specific technical skill sets relating to materials, riveting techniques, and structural assembly and stresses.
Aircraft Structural Technicians select, measure, shear, cut, bend, form, heat, treat, seal, fabricate, fit, inspect, paint, and refinish parts and components to drawing specifications.
What grads can do
When you graduate, you’ll have the skill sets necessary to work in the aviation manufacturing workforce. These acquired skill sets, including blueprint reading, cutting/forming, and riveting, will also be transferrable to other trades such as sheet metal, construction, industrial, and transportation.
