BCIT School of Business + Media organizes high school visits, business case competitions, and career prep programs aimed at providing grade 10–12 students with the tools and opportunities to succeed...

Health sciences

Collaboratively developed by high school science teachers and BCIT faculty, the Pre-Health Program targets Grade 12 students interested in a career in health sciences.

Trades and apprenticeship

BCIT has approximately 250 students enrolled annually in dual credit trades programs including Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Carpentry, Electrical, Piping, Automotive, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Metal Fabrication, and Millwright.

For over 25 years, we have worked in partnership with schools and school districts to support student learning and transition to post secondary.

BCIT hosts high school robotics competition

Each year, BCIT hosts the VEX Robotics Competition’s Mainland Championship – the competition welcomes high school teams from across British Columbia to compete in an intense one-day robotics tournament.

Helping to develop business leadership

In collaboration with the Burnaby School District, BCIT hosts an annual Business Case Competition for high school students to hone their business and sustainability leadership.

Choosing a career in the trades

BCIT welcomed more than 80 high school students in the day-long Jill of All Trades event led by female mentors to inspire students to explore careers in trades.
